Pho Hoa @ Holland V

It was a casual Wednesday night. Hubby and me decided to dine out. We craved for something soupy, as I would love something lighter, as I had early dinner before hubby came and fetched me after he knocking off from work. We went to Holland Village for Vietnamese pho. The place was surprisingly crowded for normal weekdays. And not too much later that I found out this place was conveniently accessible as Holland Village MRT is just a walking distance away, after the Circle Line was opened not long ago.

With very casual dressing up with cargo pants and singlet, and simple chunky accessory.

In an authentic Vietnamese eatery, one shouldn't miss their coffee drip.

Waiting patiently for my coffee to drip to the very last drop before stirring in a thick layer of condensed milk.

Side dish: Sugar cane prawn

Hubby's main order: Big bowl of steak and mixed pho of tendon, tripe, and meatballs.

Mine: Brisket and mixed pho.....one must eat their pho with extra added chopped chilli, basil, crunchy beansprouts and squeeze of lime.

Can't wait to devour the bowl in a mouthful!

Another side dish: Chicken skewer...with a tint sweet sauce

A huge chunk of breaded sugar cane prawn

After the meal, with a full stomach, we stroll down the street lined with pubs and cafes. Holland Village or widely known as Holland V by the locals is a famous hang out place for both Singaporeans and expatriates. This place is dominated by huge arrays of food chains, such as Crystal Jade, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, Subway, Haagen Dazs, and the list goes on and on. Those who can't make up their mind where to dine, can just drop by this place. You will just have something that might interest your tastebud. There's a 24-hour kopitiam, and a food court which sell local street dishes, Thai, Japanese, Korean, mediteranean and Western cuisines. Other than restaurants and cafes, Holland V is lined with prominent bars like Tango's, Baden and Harry's Bar. However, Wala Wala remains the most well-known one among other bars along the Lorong Mambong stretch.

Just a stone throw away from Pho Hoa, there stood a Haagen Dazs, which captured our attention. We walked in and ordered some desserts.

Love the menu.....as I fully agreed, life is like a journey with LOTSA indulgence!

Hot chocolate with some cocoa crunch served on top of thick cream

Wafer Wonder with 4 flavours ice-cream...vanilla, mixed berry, chocolate and mango...and crispy hot wafer!

Having Haagen Dazs, while enjoying the laid back atmosphere and nightly live music from bars nearby.

End the post with a picture of ME, as a GLUTTON! LOL.....

I urged hubby to come here more often, as we can easily get to dine from numerous selection of cuisines available, completes the meal with a couple of yummy desserts, coffee or glass of beer....and of course with lively songs and music along vibe packed Holland V!
