Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 large egg
- milk, just enough to make pourable batter
- 2 tablespoons of cooking oil
Directions
- In a small bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Combine the egg, milk and vegetable oil; stir into dry ingredients and mix lightly to blend.
- Pour batter by 1/4 cupful onto a butter greased hot griddle. Turn when bubbles form on top of pancakes; cook until the second side is golden brown.
- Serve immediately with your favourite sauce (maple/strawberry/chocolate) and fruity toppings. Voila! Enjoy your hearty fluffy pancakes!
