IPPUDO....where I fell in LUV wif RAMEN

Me decked out in a very retro look on a fine Sunday.

Weekends are the most quality time when families can congregate, have outings, shopping and eating out together. I have fetish on ramen or Japanese food lately. We spend most of our weekends in Orchard. So we decided to have ramen in a renowned ramen eatery in Mandarin Gallery, needless to say the Ippudo. The Lawry's Prime Rib is just next door, where I have patroned not long ago. Long Q snaking outside the Ippudo entrance as everyone wishes to try on their very very much popular ramen.

People were seen encircling a table top at the entrance, where waiting patrons can flip through their menus, so that they can decide and have their orders taken down almost immediately once they were seated.

Some cam-whoring while hubby was in the Q. We waited for about 20 minutes before we get a table. Waiting during lunch was not as bad as dinner time. Allow yourself a longer waiting time if you visit in the evening.

They received TOP 10 Ramen Eateries Award.

Ippudo outlets all over Japan, some in US and Singapore.

Hubby was engrossed looking at the menu.

The very classic and elegant decor inside Ippudo. I love the chandelier.

The comic featured wall, so cute, but why the words were in Chinese not Japanese? The pictures showed how great their ramens are.

The lemony coke...keep the thirst at bay on hot Sunday noon.

Kid's ramen: Shiromaru Motoagi, original recipe tonkatsu soup served with thin noodles, Rosu Chasu (pork loin), cabbage, kikurage, and spring onion. Smooth yet classic Hakata style ramen.
Kids added on semi runny yolk boiled eggs for $2 each.

Hubby's ramen: Karage-Men, original Ippudo's pork broth with special spicy miso and ground pork.

My ramen, Ippudo's original refined modern-style ramen: Akamaru Kasaneaji, enhanced with Ippudo's special blended miso paste and fragrant garlic oil. Served with thin noodle, Buta Bara ( pork belly), kikurage, and spring onion.

This was so HEAVENLY good. I will never eat Ajisen anymore. If I have plenty of time to spare, I don't mind to Q for a bowl of yummylicious ramen. The soup base and the ramen texture are all done to perfection! The portion was just right, not too much until you have to stuff and leave your tummy with no room for other appetizers.

 Tamago...my princess's favourite.

This was very yummy too, which they boast as 'Addictive Chicken Wing', deep fried chicken wings with special made sauce, with dashes of black pepper and Japanese pepper.

Slurping down the whole bowl of ramen sparing not even a drop of its soup base.

A blissful me, just to have Ippudo's ramen....AAHHHH
