Gingerbread man in the baking

Hmmm....weekends would probably mean more time spent with my kiddos, sending them to and fro, for their enrichment classes, music classes, and so on. So I would definitely be the busiest.

My kids have been bugging me to bake gingerbreadman cookies. The instant cookie mix has been sitting on my kitchen shelf for weeks. Thus, this morning I gave in to their nag. Had to rush down downstairs to the nearby provision shop just to get a block of butter needed for the cookies recipe.

The instant cookies mix, comes with the handy gingerbread man cutter. All you need, is just an egg and 20g of butter.

My both kids helped me in mixing the dough. After mixing, popped the mixture into fridge for 15 minutes. When the dough was set and firm, we rolled the dough on the flat surface, and cut out 6 gingerbread man cookies with the cutter. The children were having fun decorating the cookies with some colorful chocolate candies. Make sure you spread enough butter on the baking tray to easy remove the baked cookies from the tray later.

Preheat the oven at 180 degree celcius. When the cookies are ready, pop them into the oven and bake for 15 minutes.

The end product...tadaahhh the freshly baked crispy gingerbread man cookies.  Just a tip to share, make sure the cookies are left on the baking tray to cool before transferring them into a container to prevent them from crack.

The cookies were a heart warming snack for afternoon tea, of course with the kiddos around. They sure love them!
