Date with Hubby Dearest

Its a vibey Friday, after work, hubby dated me for a decent Thai dinner and movie at Vivocity. He had movie tickets booked on-line. However, we couldn't reserve a table at Thai Accent as reservation after 7 p.m. is not entertained.

I came across Thai Accent, through reviews from the web. Most of them had a good reviews towards the food and ambience provided. Thai Accent is owned by a native Thai, who is said to have owned a chain of Thai restaurants in Malaysia. It serves authentic Thai cuisine.

It has been a while we do not have Thai food, though we love to tickle our tastebuds with super hot and spicy food. Seriously, with growling stomach, after finishing the spread on the table, my stomach felt the blazing hot inside. Most of the food, are so spicy and sour. Those who can't take spicy food, please refrain from challenging yourself with the delicacies. They are fiery HOT HOT HOT!

The view from the entrance. Nothing fancy but as you step in, the decor and paintings on the wall, release that little bit Thai influence. If you have window seat, you are invited to a fascinating waterfront view with unobstructed Sentosa Resort lookout. I was lucky to have admire a firework play on that night which lasted for about 5 minutes or more.

The cute pink menu....Those marked with heart-shape, are their signatures.

Hubby bev: Thai Iced Tea....with boost of strong tea flavour, and infused with palm sugar.

Mine: Lemongrass with honey...a refreshing drink to go with spicy food

The starter: Spicy sour mango salad...with lotsa chilli padi, cashew nuts and huge chunks of dried shrimp

Side dish: Thai fishcake served with sweet sour sauce, of chilli and fried garlic bits

The appetizing sauce was yummy!

Deep fried fresh water prawns in tom yam sauce

Tom Yam Goong....available in clear or thick soup....We had thick one, super powering fiery hot and sour! BUT uber NICE!

                                       Buffalo wings....my LUV

Stir fry seafood Phad Thai...there were crushed chilli powder, nuts and bean sprouts which were carefully grouped at the edge of the serving plate. You can mix them base on one's preference.

A normal sight of spread, for the 2 of us!...LOL

Went to a confectionery shop, next door..."Can I have this, Hubby?" ;P

After a satisfying hearty dinner, we proceeded to Golden Village to catch a movie, a gross one, 'THE THING'. Usually hubby will get himself nachos with cheesie dip or butter flavoured popcorns before entering the cinema. But our stomachs were left with no allowance. So we had only Coke and there we went, sit back and relaxed for a movie. A meaningful Friday night spent.....
